Orimat Road Association Inc.
2019/2020 Winter Season Invoice
The Winter Committee has been hard at work to provide winter access for property owners and hopefully attract more participation from Orimat and Delta members. The Board is pleased to provide the following outline of rules and fees associated with this coming year winter use.
PLEASE NOTE PRICING HAS CHANGED IN MOST AREAS
Non Winter Members:
Non Winter Members are not permitted access to or parking on our “plowed” road system with any wheeled vehicle (car, truck, ATV, UTV etc.). Non-Winter Members are permitted to walk, cross country ski, snowshoe or snowmobile on our plowed road system, at anytime, and will not incur any fees / costs. Any Member wishing to visit their cottage for a day is required to become a Winter Member. That Member would then observe the Winter Member rules and procedures and pay the appropriate Daily Fee to Orimat as indicated below. Any Member who is interested in plowing beyond the currently plowed zones should contact their Tributary Representative.
If Members elect to access our plowed road system and have not paid the appropriate fee then that fee will be added to their spring invoice billing. This amount will be collected in the manner outlined in the constitutions by the respective treasurer of the association of the member.
Winter rules are in effect from the day of the first plow (an announcement will be sent out to indicate this has occurred) to the 15th of April 2020. Please note the following: THE APRIL 15TH DATE DOES NOT MEAN THE ROAD IS ACCESSABLE AND SAFE. THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS WILL ISSUE AN EMAIL AND POST TO THE WEBSITE WHEN THE ROAD IS CONSIDERED OPEN. THIS INCLUDES THE ABILITY TO ACCESS YOUR COTTAGE SAFELY AND THE ROAD SURFACE CAN WITHSTAND THE TRAFFIC.
It is the cottager's responsibility to ensure they can make this trip safely. If you are unsure of the status contact your Tributary Representatives.
Winter Members:
Our Winter Committee has selected Robinson Haulage to plow the road system for this upcoming winter season. They are our exclusive contractor for plowing which means no other contractors or members are permitted to plow our roads.
Driveways are the responsibility of the cottage /homeowner and you may choose whomever you wish to plow your own personal driveways laneways.
